The wife and I are thinking of heading to South West Ireland for a few days. Anyone recommend places to stay and things to do? Thinking around the ring of kerry.

If you're planning of doing a stay in Cork, highly recommend the Maritime in Bantry, and while you're there go to O'Connors Seafood Restaurant, booking recommended.
