We have just cancelled sky. I have taken out the card and have a few channels remaining that work. Is there any way to get more free view channels? Sorry if this question has been asked before but I can't find the answer anywhere. Have tried searching for more channels but it comes up with zilch. Thanks.

You wont get FREEVIEW channels on a sky box/satellite receiver.
turn off or plug out the power to the sky box for a few mins and when you power up again you will get Free to Air channels, 101 bbc1,
102 bbc 2, 103 itv1 104 ch4 and so on there is about 50 channels worth watching thats Free. you can put these in the Favorite menu.

    If that doesn't put BBC1 on 101

    Put card in*

    Go ch 501 Sky News
    press Red (interactive)
When loaded pull out card (and don't replace it)
    press Backup.

    Wait...
    Ignore error messages
    101 is now BBC1

Pop card back in to return to Irish EPG.

(*Before you go cardless you might want to disable parental control as the Adult PIN only works with a card in)

OK thanks, I have those channels now. So if I want freeview, what do I have to do? Sorry, I know very little about this.

You cannot get Freeview. Its a Uk terrrestial system, and unless you live on the East Coast, you will not get it. You are better off with the FTV channels you have on your Sky box.

I live on the East Coast. If I bought one of those systems from Dunnes, would I get more channels or the same?

Have a look at the Terrestial forum. There's tons of top info there. Good luck with it !!!

What Dunnes and a lot of other supermarkets and hardware shops sell is a phillex/skyline kit it will only give you the same channels that you get for Free through your sky box. Even living on the east coast Freeview Aerial DTT from Uk might not be receivable in some areas
