    Hi Everyone,

Myself and the girlfriend after much deliberation have narrowed our holiday decision do to Turkey, but however we just dunno where to stay while there,be it the hotel and region. We really wanna stay in a nice resort but dunno wheather its Bodrum, Bitez, Kusadasi, we have heard good things about kusadasi but nothing much about the other places. I have heard a lot of Irish people holiday in Kusadasi, just wondering would it be the best place to stay.

We are looking to stay in a nice place, doesn't have to be really quiet, we want to have to option to be in a place to relax when we want but like to head out as well if we wanted. Somewhere with a bit of retail therapy would be good and has nice restaurants.

I know I am probably asking for so much in this thread, but this is our first holiday abroad together and want it to go well, so any information would be of the utmost help and will be very much appreciated. Thanks in advance for any replies

my vote would be bitez. Not as crazy as kusadasi or bodrum/gumbet but very near gumbet so you are near all the action if you want to go there

Kusadasi has great shopping. It has loads of restaurants too. I recommend one called 'Saray' I think, it has a nice courtyard.

You can also do some really interesting trips to the Greco Roman city of Ephesus, well worth the visit and also some other places a bit further like Pamukale.

I would definitely recommend Bitez, was there in May and loved it, stayed in the Mandarin Gardens apartments, they were lovely and clean and the staff are really nice! Gumbet is nice too and has lots of pubs and clubs, went there most nights as it was only 5 minutes in a taxi from Bitez.
