There was quite a few reports yesterday of planes that looked in difficutly, they were trailing smoke etc as practising for the Bray Air Show

If you seen this yesterday then i'm sure that somebody would have noticed this plane missing by now.

these planes have been comingdown to this part of the country for the past few months to practice. there is extensive bog that they practice over near allenwood where i am. i got some blurry pictures with my long lens they trail smoke sometimes. nothing to worry about. the first time i saw one it was screaming loudly and plumiting to the ground before everything went quiet and it reapeared from behind some trees. great pilots. i'lltry post some pics later from my home computer.

There are several practising aerobatic pilots in this country who have smoke generators on their aircraft. Off the top of my head, Gerry Humphreys and his RV-7, David Bruton and his Sukhoi 26 and Eddie Goggins in his Extra. It could be any one of them practising. Probably not Gerry though as he is based in Limerick.

    Here's Eddie, I think that's Gerry's airstrip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8QD974TDnqk&feature=fvw

    Gerry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-vBSV54LiOo&feature=channel

I don't know of a good one for Dave Bruton.

Let's just say that Dave's Su-26 generated a little toooo much smoke ....hence it's no longer flightworthy ;)

Don't think so...he's using the Jungmann at the moment for displays. He has/had access to a Su-29, but it's not his.
