Where did you eventually get your ducting? I'm looking for 50cm of 150mm ducting for an extractor fan through a cavity wall. Even thoug it's not a high cost item, I do not want to pay the greedy rip-off prices I've seen so far.

I don't know if your after solid or flexi pipe but a 6m length of 150mm sewer/plastic pipe will cost you less than 30 euro in a builders provider and you'll have some left over to EmCeeSquared

I happen to have some 24" DPC. I intend to use this, wrapped 2 - 3 times around the spigot of the fan and sealed along the inside and outside edges of the resulting tube with mastic, as my ducting through the cavity wall. Does anybody see any downsides to this approach?
