MOTH Garden Tiger how common are they?

I came across this fella on my daily walk today, from looking a the moth thread it appears to be a garden tiger. I was bowled over at how big and gorgeous this moth was. They are really beautiful, and considering that I never seen one of these before, How common are they in Ireland.. apologies image quality not great…

I'm not sure how common they are, I normally see them once or twice a year. They are beautiful though.

A huge decline during the past 3 decades has been documented in Britain, but we don't that much data older than 10 years in Ireland.
