This evening between 7:30 and 9:30 there will be a prom featuring the music of Doctor Who and some related classical pieces, this prom will be carried live on BBC Radio 3 and will be available on the BBC iPlayer for 7 days after the prom has aired. Under current BBC rules, any radio content on the BBC radio is not subjected to the usual geo locks that TV content on iPlayer is subjected to so you can listen to this anywhere in Ireland (or anywhere in the world)
I highly recommend you give this a listen, as the 2008 one was simply superb. It's a feature on the specials DVD but I remember listening to the live feed one fine Saturday afternoon. Even without the visuals it was a great lunchtime concert.
This year Matt Karen and Arthur are over seeing procedures in what promises to be an aural delight.

    This too shall pass.

This is really good so far. Brings back great memories of Series 5 first moments. And always love hearing from the gorgeous Karen Gillan

You can hear the whole thing here until next Saturday. I heartily recommend you use it some time for a couple of hours in your week as it was absolutely brilliant. I still reckon the 2008 prom was more epic but the music in this still sends shivers down my spine. A must listen for all new series fans.

    This too shall pass.

I'm listening to it atm and it's brilliant! Excellent music! I'm curious to see it on tv with all the monsters on stage though, I'd say it would of been brilliant to be in the audience.

Think they are showing highlights on BBC 2 Sunday evening.

Just in case you're not following the Doctor Who Fnarg thread. The Prom is being shown tonight (Friday) at 7pm on BBC Three. 90 mins long. I caught the highlights on Monday night and that alone was spectacular so this should be even better.
Worth the price of admission for this piece alone.
