Hey, other than the Belfast one on the 19th, anyone know of any other No Gi or even Gi tournaments going on in the next couple of months.

Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong places, but it seems so hard to find out about events until after they happen!

    Thanks!

I'm going to hold one in November. I know what you mean about events not being seen and a lot of people say that to me about my events. I think if one person from every club regularly checks www.bjj.ie it might help things.

Also, maybe people could put up better contact details for their gyms or elect a representative in charge of competition entries. For example, earlier in this paragraph I nominated Tom from my gym to do just that. I just find dealing with gyms to be a bit of a mess sometimes. No offence intended but a lot of guys go to comps off their own bat, other guys rely their coach and complain when they don't hear about things from them.

Thanks guys - glad it's not just me that has trouble finding events. Barry that's a good idea about updating bjj.ie as that's where I looked first off.

Any other even suggestions welcome - BJJ Open is perfect for starters!

Will you be running any Junior competitions? There are so little of them but a good amount of clubs have kids classes. I think competiting is pretty important to reduce dropouts.
