So my laptop is a hp 530, and I'm using Windows Vista. It was running fine up until tonight, but now it just won't let me click into anything on my desktop, I can't even shut it down properly. Otherwise the laptop doesn't appear to have any problems, and the double click and keyboard are still functioning normally. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, and in simple English if at all possible, as I'm not very computer savvy!
    Thanks.:)

Please let me know a bit more detailed informations.
For example, do you use touchpad only or have you tried already the left button under touchpad?

ok. so you say you cant shut it down? you do need to reboot the laptop as a starting point so as a last resort hold the power button for about 7 - 8 seconds until it powers off and then power it back on and see if there is any difference
