Has anyone had any experience with using a bracelet link pin removal tool - specifically, I'm thinking of the blue plastic turn-screw ones that you see on ebay. Do they do the job, or are they a gimmick?

I have it and it's OK, one of the pins got bended and almost ruined the bracelet.
So I've bought this one and it works better for me
