Codec overrun error installing iTunes

When I updated to iTunes 9.2.1 the other day I don't think it installed correctly so I uninstalled it and now I'm trying to reinstall it. When I open the .dmg file the verifying progress bar goes across then I get a box saying
"The following disk images failed to mount
    Image : iTunes9.2.1.dmg Reason : codec overrun"
    And an OK button.
I've tried it a few times and also have removed the Apple Mobile Device Service as stated on the Apple support site.

Any ideas how to get around this?

Have you backed up using Time Machine ? If so then just go back to before you installed the new iTunes and restore it.

I fixed the problem. There was a setting in my Netgear router that was corrupting the iTunes download file, I was having problems on my Vista machine with iTunes and that's fixed now too.
    Thanks for the reply :)
