Well this has probobly been done to death, but I need to split my Sky signal into 6 rooms,

theres a cable running from the dish down to skybox(living room) and another looping back up to attic where the rest of the cables are.

If I run the loop back up from RF2 will I need a 6 way splitter box in the attic?

If I attach a sky eye to one of the other tvs(kitchen) will it work through splitter box?

I dont mind if I cant change channels in the rest of the rooms.

Would this splitter box be the best job T180 and would it send the DVD signal to other tvs as well?

    Thanks for your help

Get yourself this kit from either Argos or Maplins, it's a 4-way splitter kit with the remote eyes:

    http://www.argos.ie/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=30001&catalogId=1500002201&langId=-1&searchTerms=5347799

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=223487

Run four TV's off the above, one via the RF1 output and your main TV off the Scart.

The above kit I installed into a house last week and it's a great piece of kit, easy to install and cheap too :)

not sure if they do a 6-way version kit but you can get a 6-way splitter box:

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?ModuleNo=33969

*note* If you don't go with the above kit then whatever signal amplifier distribution box you get be sure it has a built-in digital bypass to allow the remote eyes to function.

Cheers for the quick response, looks like a good kit might go with it

Would I not be running the main tv off of RF1 or scart and then bringing the signal to the splitter box via RF2?

Then just a matter of connecting to the eye and then to the TV...

    cheers again

What I ment was, say you have four TV's upstairs, you run them off the splitter in the attic via RF2 on the Sky box. If you have a TV in the kitchen then run a wire from RF1 on the Sky box to that TV and your main TV runs off the Scart connection.

you do realise that you will have the same channel on every tv. using this configuration.

Yea I realise I'll have the same channel, but will I be able to flick between terestrial channels if I have a normal aerial running through the sky box. If not its ok

An if I use the scart and RF1 I get another connection out of it, cheers for the info

Yes thats correct, the terrestrial channels will work fine individually through any of the distribution units mentioned.
