There's not. It probably ended in the third quarter of last year, but because of the way these things are done officially, it was only official last month.

Sure the Minister is urging everyone to go out and spend their money. Granted I don't think he meant to spend it on American imports but hey, these people today are doing their bit!

I'd love to know what money he wants us to spend... especially the 450,000 collecting 200euro a week!

Cos its Apple, you could nearly set your watch with their "refreshes", they are a company with shareholders, of course they are going to update it.

When Apple introduced the iPhone I thought, hmmm I'd like one of those. But held off. When they upgraded to the G3 it was a case of 'I have to get one of those', and was in the queue on the first day of release.

Of course they'll upgrade it and it will be a corker knowing Apple of late! :pac:

Can you give me an example of any apple product over the past 3/4 years that has not had a refresh in more than 18 months?

Consumer spending = increase taxes & more jobs = more consumer confidence = tax cuts = increased consumer spending = more jobs = more income tax = more public jobs = increased consumer spending = more tents in Galway.

    Macroeconomics for the Irish Government.

Moral of the story. The iPad is a call to patriotic duty!

There will definately be a new webcam version or slick webcam accessory announced at the iPad conference late January.

Apple has a nice little calendar going.

    iPad January
    iPhone June
    iPod September

Lovely way of keeping its portable consumers electronics devices in the media for the entire year and the stock price rising and rising..

Edit: just noticed the apple.ie store hasn't been updated yet for selling the iPad

I was kinda in that mindset myself, until I realised that by the time the 2nd Gen one comes out, there'll be the same space of time before theres a 3rd one etc...

    It's apple!

Therefore, I'm happy that I have one now :D

    Woo!
