don't know about the credibility of this piece, but when you look at the footage, it does seem like there could be something to it.

    Wow, that is shameful stuff.

This is the same guy who went to war with Adamek twice, and yet people are supposed to believe that is genuine?

I agree, he needs to be made an example of.

yeah have to agree with you dere, why would green be annoyed bout it after the fight and now change his mind, either elaborate fix or briggs was really hurt cos of existing neurological damage

    this article http://www.smh.com.au/sport/boxing/irate-green-chases-lost-millions-20100710-104pw.html?rand=1279761333041
written a week before the fight seem to back up the idea briggs as unfit to fight as it 'industry rumours' say he was suffering dizziness.
also he was overweight and the fight had to be moved because of syndey to perth as the NSW sanctioning authority wouldnt allow the fight to go ahead as the saw briggs as unfit to fight

so looks like wasn't a dive going by these articles

I hate saying fights were fixed but after hearing Green's interview, it was clear to me that that fight was most likely fixed. That was Professional Wrestling with Boxing Gloves.

Lesson 1 - If you're going to take a dive, wait until you're ****in hit.

What a feckin idiot - more ammo for the mma is the greatest sport since sliced bread brigade.

(I know slicing bread is not a sport)

Green was stupid to take the fight. He knew Briggs was unfit to fight and yet he went ahead and sold the fight and now he has the cheek to call Briggs a canine

In Australia, if you called someone a dog, you'd probably get your head smashed in. Canine is a 'clean' way of slating someone.

If you find that strange, remember that assaults are referred to as 'bashings', I found it weird to hear a newsreader saying it and keeping a straight face!

I agree that Green's reaction is silly considering that he agreed to fight a out of sorts fighter. I still think its a dive, maybe not in the convential sense but he clearly knew that he wasnt fit enough to fight a IBO World Champion but went in to throw one punch then down on his first. Its conning people out of their money and the sport should look to stamp it out and the WA Professional Combat Sports Commission should be held accountable for allowing a unfit fighter into a ring

I agree the fight should've never happened in the first place, but it did and i think it was much a handy cheque/win for green as it was a payday for briggs...

Looking at the footage though it was like a bad take from film, it was pethetic, the glove grazed the top of his head and he looked like trevor berbick after it...load of pony...!!!
