I'd hardly call a 69 perverted in fairness

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

    Hello OP..

    .. welcome to 20th May 2008!

Of course it's about a sexual position.. next thing you'll be telling me Nizlopi's 'The JCB Song' was about a JCB - it's clearly about a elderly priest and his love for Bunty annuals!

About halfway down he explains the song title. I truly thought it was about the year.

"At the end of the song the lyric says that it's me and my baby in a 69. You'd have to be pretty thick in the ears if you couldn't get that lyric."

    The interviewer says:
I knew it from doing my research but I think for a lot of people it goes in one ear and out the other.

    Pervy indeed.

I never heard the "a". Well some people confuse 'excuse me while I kiss the sky" with "excuse me while I kiss this guy"

It's not really a big deal.

Also Everything I Do was really about anal sex.*

    *Probably not true.

Why they had that in an American Werewolf in London is beyond me.

"Can't Stop This Thing We Started" was about the time his girlfriends vibrator went out of control.

I hate Bryan Adams, I hate his pox ridden pizza face & I hate his music even more.

The song is about him in a 69er position with his co-writer Jim Vallance.

Bryan Adams face looks like he's been doing 69-ers with a bunch of nettles for the last 25 years.

Much better than the 'Winter of '68 - you suck me and I'll owe you one'.

His co-writer has some different recollections on the song. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Summer_of_'69#cite_note-4, seems Bryan Adams is trying a little too hard to be cool.

I got my first real six-string
    Bought it at the five-and-dime
    Played 'til my fingers bled
    It was summer of '69

    No sexual inneuendo here
Me and some guys from school
Had a Band and we tried real hard
Jimmy quit and Jody got married
I shualda known we'd never get far

    or here
Oh when I lock back now
That was seemes to last forever
And if I had the choice
Ya - I'd always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life

    (CHORUS)

    or here
    Ain't no use in complainin'
When you got a job to do
Spent my evenin's down at the drive in
And that's when I met you

    or here
    Standin on a mama's porch
You told me that you'd wait forever
Oh and when you held my hand
I knew that it was no or never
Those were the best days of my life

(Chorus) Back in Summer of '69

    or here
    Man we were killin' time
    We were young and restless
    We needed to unwind
I guess nothin' can last forever, no

    or here
And now the times are changin'
Look at everything that's come and gone
Somethimes when I play that old six-string
I think about ya wonder what went wrong

    or here

Co writer disagrees with Adams on this and it is hard to see the inneuendo in the song (other than the last bit). Seems like people want to believe it is about the 69 position rather than a nostalgic look at a late teenage guys summer.

This just goes to show what an incredible artist he actually is, his lyrics are sooo much deeper than most give him credit for.
That song he did with the spa from the Spice Girls 'Baby when you're gone' is just beautiful, I challenge anyone to sit down and really listen to it, and then say that it's not high art.

Mozart and Beathhoven were considered pop stars in their day, and now they are studied across the world. So too will we study Brian Adams.

    I salute you Wordsmith Brian

Wait till you hear what his tune "The Only Thing That Looks Good On Me Is You" was all about

Hint: Was not about a jacket

Shocking. Burn him at the stake

Bryan Adams seems to be getting a bit forgetful in his old age.

I can't really believe he compared "Summer of 69" having the same innuendo as "Little Red Corvette". Seriously... he's deluded.
    Little Red Corvette
I guess I should've known by the way U parked your car sideways
    That it wouldn't last
See, U're the kinda person that believes in makin' out once
Love 'em and leave 'em fast
I guess I must be dumb cuz U had a pocket full of horses
Trojan and some of them used
But it was Saturday night, I guess that makes it all right
And U say - "What have I got 2 lose?"

And honey, I say Little Red Corvette
Baby, U're much 2 fast (Oh)
    Little Red Corvette
    U need a love that's gonna last

I guess I should've closed my eyes when U drove me 2 the place
    Where your horses run free
Cuz I felt a little ill when I saw all the pictures
Of the jockeys that were there before me
Believe it or not, I started 2 worry
I wondered if I had enough class
But it was Saturday night, I guess that makes it all right
And U say - "Baby, have U got enough gas?"
    Oh yeah!

    Little Red Corvette
Baby, U're much 2 fast (Yes U are)
    Little Red Corvette
U need 2 find a love that's gonna last (Oh, oh)

A body like yours oughta be in jail
Cuz it's on the verge of bein' obscene
Move over, baby, gimme the keys
I'm gonna try 2 tame your little red love machine

Full of sexual innuendo. Classic stuff by the little purple one.

    Hmm. SO did I.

Bit arrogant of him to think we're thick for not getting it though because frankly I could give a sh*t about his lyrics, the song is bland american schmaltz. Its supermarket music.
