PRTB Complaint

Is it possible to file a complaint with the PRTB without creating a dispute? I had trouble at the end of my tenancy with my last landlord, but the problem I have with him isn't about money, it's about false accusations of (minor) theft and leaving the place dirty (it was spotless). I don't want to create a dispute, but I do feel that his behaviour should be on the record somewhere in case other people have to deal with his crap. I'm assuming they'll only accept a dispute though?

Yeah there's no such thing as a record like that for landlords. Pity though!

I believe you're right. The PTRB isn't a landlord intelligence agency and there's nothing to dispute really :) Your old landlord was mudslinging, it happens. If you're annoyed about the minor theft accusations there is always defamation/tort civil cases.

Dafamation doesn't apply unless the statement's been made publicly; not that I'd take an action in the first place. I don't care whether it happens or not, I have no respect for ignorant behaviour and I don't see why other people should be subject to it. However if there's nothing (simple) I can do about it, so be it.

    Thanks,
    adam
