A line of work in accountancy and financial controllers would be the best paid but the work is high pressure and responsible for the money.

Also Medical, pharmacy. veterinary etc but the points for entry are very high.

I also have a notion the actuaries in insurance companies are paid very well but the math skills required are the highest of any job.

Try and get a job dealing with people or sales or any area of high uncertainty, high pressure and needing a high level of critical and flexible thinking at short notice and you will probably get a higher salary.

Another route to a high but steady salary is law enforcement, security or working in mining or oilrigs etc, anywhere there is an element of physical danger.

It does not always follow that the effort put in equates to a high salary out. Play to your strengths and you will probably minimise the effort required to get the skills and quals necessary to get a good job but it is important to know yourself well enough to do this. Ask as many friends, workmates schoolmates etc about how they see you as a person and try to build a picture of your strengths and weaknesses from other peoples viewpoints for greater accuracy.

Once you are in a line of work that you enjoy and are good at the money will follow.
