Was wondering is it possible to go see the pro am on wednesday? is there entry fee, etc?

Would all the main players be taking part in this also? Just thought it might be a good chance to see them in action as well as the main competition

Went on the Wednesday in Baltray last year. It was free to get in and I got to see all the big names. And you can bring your camera in with you on the wednesday too and I got my photo taken with McIlroy, Harrington and Olazabal. My advice would be to ring the golf club themselves and they'll be able to tell you if its the same this year or not.

Great, it would be nice to see them in a relaxed environment before the main action takes place.

What format do these pro ams take? does everyone start on the 1st tee or is it shotgun start

Has anyone seen this you can Caddie for clarke lowry or mcillroy at the pro am before the open starts. they have teamed up with make a wish and the tour player foundation to raise funds. I think it's a great idea with mcillory destined to go for the highest price

I think its definately the day to go, you will see all the golfers you want as opposed to only half of them being there the weekend once the cut is made
