Ryanair flight closes at 6:30Pm - what time to be there / be walking in the door?

    Whats the minimum and safe time to be walking in the door for the airport?

    The airport can be busy at that time of day as people are travelling at the end of the business day.

    Have you checked-in online?

    To be honest I always give it 2 hours because security queues can be awfully long... that's assuming I check in with AL at one of their machines with no queue
    plus ryanair gates are always a long walk

    You have to check in online on Ryanair. It took me 3 or 4 minutes to get throught Dublin security at 7pm on Monday. So if you have no bags to check in, probably 20 mins before the flight closes. Of course Ryanair flight close times are a bit of a joke as aircraft generally doesn't arrive until 20 mins before departure.

    It's very hard to predict crowd levels in the airport - so therefore I would err on the side of caution. It's taken me from 2 minutes to over 30 minutes.

    Assuming that you have checked-in, I would arrive 40-60 mins before boarding closes.

    Went through the airport a couple of times over the last 10 days and for some reason there was only one security checkpoint open. The one at the far end near the new shopping area has been closed. This means everyone is sent to the other end and it took me a bit longer to get through.
