Poor battery life on IPhone 3G OS 4.0.1

    Hi,

    I have an Iphone 3G which is about 2 years old. I'm finding that lately that the battery life is brutal. I'm onyl getting a day out of it. Also, when I go into the usage screen it's blanked out as it's saying that it will show the charge times after it's next full charge even though it has been fully charged and not plugged into the charger or the PC!

    Anone else have the same issue?

    You could try something like battery doctor, which is free and allows you to recharge properly and gives you a health check on the battery. It is 2 years old, though so it is probably natural to only get a day out of it now.

    Battery Doctor gave my 3G a good sorting a while back, I was only getting 8 hours or so and it got it back to the usual of lasting a day or so.

    Defo not a gimmick buddy, it sorted my battery. Although, I did use the pro version.

    close out of all the apps running in the background

    Apple say there is little impact but I've found it makes a big difference
