A Team van - Blue Vanette

When I was a kid I loved the A-Team. BA was (and still is) my idol and the van has got to be the coolest vehicle ever.:cool::cool: My biggest childhood disappointment is related to the van though:(:(:(.

When I was about seven I stayed at my granny's for a week or so. My Dad owned a shop so he stayed at home but was to collect us at the end of the week. I remember talking to him on the phone the day before and he said he was collecting us in his new van. In my excitement I said "Is it an A-Team van Daddy?" He said "yes it is and your schoolfriends will be so jealous".

Cue my imagination going wild about being dropped off at school in an A-Team van. Imagine how gutted I was when the next day Dad showed up in a cr@ppy blue vanette? He obviously wasn't down with the kids and thought every van was an A-Team van.

Still don't think I'm over it and it is probably the main reason I think my Dad is a cnut*.

So what is you biggest childhood disappointment and how did it effect you in your adult life?

*I don't really think he's a cnut ;). We do have a "difficult" relationship though.

My life's biggest disappointment is knowing that my son thinks I'm a cnut, but tells people he doesn't. Ungrateful little prick.

How is it a difficult relationship?
    Was there a drunken fondle?

I seen an old banged up Hiace van outside Homebase in Longford once, painted like the A-Team van,it was easily the best day of my life.

    Hiace.

I actually saw a proper A-team van before, driver was a prick though, didn't let me see all the guns I assume he had in the back!

If you had worn that dress he would have shown you the guns in the back mini. ;)

I once saw a suzuki carry with the same paintjob. I would literally pay tens of euro to own one.

Difficult in the sense that the cnut never had an A-Team van.
