Songs and films that hit a chord with you

What songs, contemporary or otherwise, or movies have you seen, and they just click with you or strike a chord or something - and no matter how many times you see or hear them, you just never get tired of them?
Or scenes from a sit com even..

What is it about the song or film that you feel is relative to you? (obviously that relativity being the reason you can watch or listen to them over and over).

For me, I used to watch this film called Joe Dirt - over and focking over again.
Must have watched it 50 times at least, easy.

I haven't watched anything as much as that film, but now a days, I watch the movie "It's Friday", you know, with Ice Cube and Chris Tucker - I've watched it about 10/12 times thus far.

And the song I've been listening to for about the last 3/4 months, just don't get tired of it is..

Memory - Fragma, Klaas remix, in case that don't come out.

The only scene really from a sit com that sticks in my mind is that one from Skins - you know where Tony just comes out of a coma or some **** and is stuck in the house and he doesn't have any motivation, and then he goes somewhere - in a dream I think it is - and he bangs this chick and then everything is cool again.

I can't remember if that's exactly how it goes, but that's the one anyway.

    What is it for you??

For me its 'The Wrestler' movie & Bruce Springsteens sound track to it.

Basically, it was me for a period of about 2 years until 18 months ago when I dragged myself up by the arse & copped onto a few things.

Probably my favourite movie, it strikes a cord everytime.

And music, I was thinking about this one earlier believe it or not - its Jimi Hendrix, he got me through my teens & early twenties when the world was a complete cluster fuck for me.

Yeah Gladiator does it for me too, Elysium/Now we are free, sends goosebumps around me, as does the outside theatre scene in Hannibal, cant for the life of me think of what its called!

Robert Miles, leftfield and Massive attack, brought me thru my later teenage years and i still love their music today.

    2 films come to mind:

The opening scenes of "Saving private Ryan" are stunning.

"It's a wonerful life" Jimmy Stewart's finest film, the scene in the bar when he hits rock bottom is heart breaking.

Stand By Me. It's a wonderful little film with some excellent acting from the young cast. The ending is made more poignant IMHO because we now know that River Phoenix died young :(

A song and movie are my favourite, Society from the movie Into The Wild, really struck a chord. the film, because the guy lived a day dream of mine when i was younger. The song because it brings across the passion and feeling of the movie.

    Recently, this song

Sage Franics - The Best of Times...as is in my sig :D That song never fails to cheer me up a bit when I need it, helps me to realise that things that are annoying me and getting me down at the time probably means nothing in the grand ol scheme of things.

And also, Chicane ft Tom Jones - Stoned in Love... that song will never ever grow old on me! Reminds me of better times and belting it out I can't help but be atleast at little bit happy!
