and doing nothing about it. I'm not a heavy drinker but it's the only place within walking distance in the evenings. One guy in particular is barred from most other places as he interferes with most people in the place. He doesn't let people to their own business, was previously in prision for a violent act and the staff do absolutely nothing about it.

Should I speak to managment? This guy is the worst but not the only one....seems they will serve anyone and tolerate anything.

Look I know it's not a major issue in life, nothing as serious as what most people post here, so I don't mean to insult this forum by posting such a relatively trivial matter here, just wasn't sure where else to post!

    Thanks
    F:)

Times are hard. I'd put good money on it that you'll get no where.

You're better off taking a bus/taxi to the next pub.

    Take your business elsewhere

But if you want, tell the manager why you are going
If you don't tell them why they won't learn

Just bide your time (maybe in a different pub!), he/they will do/say something one day to get themselves barred, as they have been from every other pub.

But until that time, the publican probably hasn't any "reason" to barr them.

Thing is they've actually lost a lot of potentialy solid patrons by tolerating the rabble....it's almost like a Nama pub in that the owner owns the complex because nobody will rent it and simply hires a manager, who only works 10-5 and has no motivation other than to collect his wages, nor do staff, they collect their wage regardless of who comes in or doesn't come in.......they let everything go.

Sadly a taxi can make a night expensive......I'm only a natural 2-4 pints a night person...cheap enough to walk, a taxi nearly doubles the cost, but can't stomach that place any longer, like the Wild West. Guy in question was hit with a spanner one night inside the bar....someone took offence to what he said, went out to his car and brought in a spanner, hitting the guy on the head......both should have been barred.......all this in a supposedly 'good area'.

Reading your post, You could be one of my customers...

I work in a pub that we have only leased a few weeks ago, Basically we lifted all barring because the last owner barred anyoine who looked sideways at him..

However any of the 'locals' who drink with us are generally on good behaviour because if we barr them, They are screwed! as they would not be able to go to ant of the other pubs in the town due to being bared from them too..

I can only speak for our place and say that as of yet those people have not stepped out of line with us...YET...when they do we'll get them..

To the OP, speak to the landlord and tell him what your thinking, HE might be aware of what you're talking about and might just have needed you to push him over the edge..

If you were to drink the same as Freiheit (2-4 pints per night) in our pub, you are worth between €8 and €16 per night OR €56 and €112 per week Of course the manager will hear you out and see what can be done to keep your custom..

Having spoken to others the general consensus is that there isn't a manager in this pub and the staff are naturally only concerned with their wages, it's all the one to them how many decent customers stay away because of the louts. There is nobody with a stake in the pubs figures, they don't care......haven't had the heart to go there this week but some day soon I'll speak to managment and at least give them a chance.

(there is as said above a manger but he only works 10-5 or 10-6 during the day is not an owner or rentee, just a manager hired by the owners of the complex, yes it's part of a small shopping centre)
