Police in southern Russia are investigating allegations of animal cruelty after a donkey was made to parasail as part of an advertising stunt, Russian media report. The donkey was sent up into the sky last week by entrepreneurs hoping to attract people to their private beach

    The police are not happy.
"The donkey screamed and children cried," regional police spokeswoman Larisa Tuchkova told AFP news agency.
"No-one had the brains to call police."
Instead, bystanders took photos and phoned newspapers, she said.

    What would you have done?

Meh, at least they weren't making it carry around an ageing knight, clad in armour and tilting at windmills - now that's cruelty!

Seen as you seem to be a subject matter expert, is there any truth in the rumour that Charlie Hawhee had a dyslexic donkey?

    Just asking.

I'm not an expert on CJ, but I'd say every single rumour about him is true.

    Unusual story for the day.

Folks lying on a warm sunny day at a beach were startled to see an unusual sight.
Above their heads was a flying donkey paragliding amid the blue sky!
Long story short, it was up in the air for 30 minutes and when it came back down, the people that put it there were arrested and now face up to two years in jail for animal abuse! :pac:

Alas, it's not original - I first saw it in a Smash Hits article about Nick Kershaw in the mid-1980s - but now it appears there are quite a few of us about.

    Ho hum.
