Ive been doing a lot of research lately and ive come to an important conclusion, Berties the man for the job of Dublin mayor. Heres why,

    (1) The metro is delayed, Bertie is a man who gets things done and been a man of the people who can see the frustration in people waitin to get on the metro for work.

    (2) He can get rid of them junkies and messers, with a bit of education about crime from McDowell in past, hes surely to be tough on crime in the big smoke.

    (3) The boom happened when Bertie was in, im pretty sure Bertie has some innovate and clever ideas to lift Dublin economically. Sure the IFSC could only benefit.

    (4) Get things working around the place again. Sure nothings been happening the last few years, the new buildings are just lying idle. Give the man a chance, and he'll more than likely get them lived in.

Well thats just some of the results of my research for a political project, please help if you want to.

Putting Bertie in the Mayor job? He's as bent as a crowbar.

It would be like putting Gary Glitter in charge of the Orphanage.

Bertie isnt bent at all, sure hes a wife and children. So theres no point being like one of them homophobes trying to disqualify bertie because you think hes gay, because hes not.

Your most cunning, most devious plan does have one thing to recommend it. Given that Bartholomew would have to be elected, it would be an opportunity to see if the low esteem in which he his held in these parts is shared by the good folk of Dublin.

Feel free to interpret it that way if it gives you a warm fuzzy feeling, however I suspect that you don't need any assistance in that regard and I'd hate to ruin the party by injecting some realism and facts about Ahern's tenure as chief con-man.

I'd also question your "research" if it hasn't come across many of the objectionable facts about the weasel in question.

So I won't even bother objecting to your misinterpretation of my post as agreement; but count me as an ignorer of your suggestions from now onwards - given what you've listed here as "research" and your comments earlier, I can't determine whether you're intent on giving us all a laugh or actually believe the tripe that you posted.

Well thats fine, but if others want to help with research thats their right to do so. Research is vital to understand things, and here we are trying to understand the dublin mayor situation, so its important that people listen and feel free to suggest/

Gravy Fanatic, this is a serious discussion forum. There's a forum for stand-up comedy elsewhere on the site.
