    Hi Guys n Gals,

    Am thinking of buying myself into some Mercedes Benz goodness! Specifically the cl55 AMG

    As far as I know post 2003 isn't supercharged yet the pre 2003 models still (from what I read) push 500BHP

    Anyone driving one of these beauties? Any tips? I notice the price almost doubles for post 2003 cl55 AMG Kompressor

    love these id say the fuel economy would be a lot worse on the one with the supercharger though im driving a 333bhp 4.4 V8 Bmw 645ci at the moment and getting an average of 24mpg , id say the merc would prob be around 20 mpg being a bigger engine and AMG, personally i think its worth it few things in this life would excite a petrol head as much as a V8 :D
    main difference is def bhp

    367 bhp pre facelift :cool:
    500 bhp after :eek::cool::eek:

    one major thing to consider is with an AMG anything that goes wrong will cost big bucks

    But i still say do it :D
    and as i said earlier
    "few things in this life would excite a petrol head as much as a V8" :D

    Thanks guys. I'm running an e46 m3 just now and used to a few tasty bills. The 2003 seems to be the way to go alright...just one on sale in the country just now however http://www.carzone.ie/search/Mercedes-Benz/CL-Class/CL55-AMG/201025198486524/advert?channel=CARS

    I think i might give in and go for the 2003 + model to offset increased BHP against an older car :p
