Just a question i hope someone might be able to answer. Iv been taking 4400 IU Vitamin d3 for a while now and its going well. I'm getting tangible results after a good whack of use with it. Up to now iv been taking 2 x 2200 IU capsules everyday but recently was shown a spray version of d3 where 1 spray has 1000 IU. I was told that the spray version of fat soluble vitamins (a,e,d,k vs that of b and c) are better absorbed in spray form rather than capsule. I have not been able to fond any conclusive evidence yet myself from my brief interweb search and thought some of the gurus here might better help me before i part ways with me cash?

Well capsules are pretty well absorbed, we have the blood tests to prove it, so even if the spray is better absorbed, then there's no real advantage anyway, unless you really don't like popping pills.

Can I ask what are the tangible results you have noticed? I am cosidering taking Vit D supplements because by all accounts practically all of us are deficient in it!

Hey Portia - skin is the most noticable effect for me. It creally helped in getting my frequent spotty skin under control (well i think it has anyway - could e coincidence). Iv gone from pale as a ghost to having some healthy colour to my face. Everybody comments on the colour of my skin now. I was known for been pale.

2 books worth reading are - 1. Vit D: the sunshine Vitamin

    and

    2. The Vit D solution.

I have read the first one and it makes a really strong arguement with science behind it to take vit d3 in northern latitudes. Unlike the other vitamins, vit d is a hormone so has a large role in the body in so many different areas.

I take it too. I take at least 2500iu's per day. I feel legend at the moment but I can't really say how much of that is down to the vitamin D though. I am eating well and exercising hard too. :)

It is worth pointing out that it is recommended that you supplement your children with vitamin d. I give my kids 400iu per day (except our baby who is on formula which already has vitamin d in it, though I was supplementing her while she was breastfeeding).
