That pedal on the right makes the car go faster so that you don't have 2km of traffic behind you ;)

They have two working parts...they can't do second gear and any uphill is a no-no.

    I love knee-sawn!

I dont think the car can actually go faster than that tbh.

Nope, this is the behavioral observation of Micra drivers that I have observed over the past few years, more to do with attitude rather than motors.

    Oh right!

Manufacturer hoped they would be like this:

    But they're usually like this:

Ah here we go more micra bashing. Some people can't afford more powerful cars some people just like them it's a matter of opinion :). Either way theres some reason why people have the cars they have :) We can't all be lucky enough to be able to afford the cars we really want.:(

Can anyone give a rational explanation for owning a 2 litre car that can hit 200 Kph?
This must include the Irish roads being taken into consideration.

Oh my yes they're all I wear
I can actually honestly say that I don't think I've ever once seen a chav drive a micra. They tend to stick to "classier" cars like honda civics and the like!!

me bollox.... micra's are fecking expensive !!!

much cheaper to get a big engine saloon rather than one of those lil piss boxes.

cheapest micra i've ever seen was about €1500

my da picked up a nice lancer for €800 1.6L

well thier expensive if you buy from a dealer because they hike up the prices as they know young driviers will buy one as the insurance is often low but buy them from a private owener and your laughing, thats good for a lancer fair play

    No it isn't.
You can run faster in a tracksuit because it's less constrictive, just as you can drive faster in a 2.0l car than you can in a micra.

Then again, if you're driving in an urban or suburban area (~70% of the population), you can only drive as fast as the speed limit allows. Therefore aesthitics are the driving (no pun intended) factor.

So you can buy a BMW (or whatever is considered classy these days), pay through the nose for vastly over-priced petrol and have little money to pay for your suit, or you can buy a micra and get by on €20 petrol a week at the same speed.

So you're not laughed at like micra drivers. I don't own a 2 litre car but i would if insurance allowed me. It's a lot more fun than most small boxes which main purpose is to get from A to B.

Or hog the overtaking lane maxed out at 99kph while not overtaking anyone.

    because micra's are a disaster !

bmw (for your example) are bigger, can carry bigger items, more people without being crushed, reach the speed limit, are safer and more comfortable !

when a micra does crash the thing fecking crumples around your knees and you do get hurt as opposed to a big car with a nicer euro n-cap rating.

the seats in micra's are ****, their tiny, good for carrying post stamps, cant carry people without everybody breathing on each other and have to put your foot through the floor to reach any speed limit after accelerating for half an hour.

now, all you micra's out there.

suck on my exhaust pipe ! :pac:

Because I enjoy driving. I like to reach said speed limit sometime today and not the 2 weeks it takes in a Micra or similar car. I also like to have the power to safely overtake a car in front. Yes I pay a premium on insurance, tax and petrol, but that's my choice. You'll be dead a long time mate.

Same way someone might pay 3 grand on a high end pc to just play solitaire or surf the net.

Hey shoot me, I like large engined fast cars and pay good money to own one.

    OP
I have no problems with slow drivers as long as they have the courtesy to move over when safe to do so.

i enjoy driving fast and love powerful cars but why would i slate someone who might not be able to afford a more powerfull car, i would have a lot more respect for them driving what they can afford than some builder paying his yearly wage on a audi or something
