Music Maker job interviews...

I'm just wondering whether anyone has heard back about the auditions/interviews that were held a few saturdays ago..

I'm going to be incredibly disappointed in musicmaker if they fail to contact applicants. Especially after I and several of my friends were told they would be emailed the following wednesday after the interviews.

Musicmaker said they knew how bad it felt for people to be left in the dark, however its getting a bit late at this stage.

I know it sucks, but Im guessing that if you haven't heard from them by now, I reckon you probably didn't get the job.

Some job places are just like that. Some use a very professional ethos and will inform you if you are successful or not, and others adopt a more relaxed approach and are all "yeah, man, thats cool beans...." and whatever and will hope that their silence will speak for itself.

I know how you feel man.....often times its the not knowing thats worse than the bad news itself!!! :)

In not replying, have they not in effect, snubbed a lot of their (potential) customers also?

I know someone who was supposed to have a trial last weekend but I think he ended up going to Oxegen instead.

Moved to Work & Jobs as I think it's more suited there.

I heard they had a serious amount of applicants... Some places simply don't have the man power or time to spend refusing everyone...

    Hi All,

Thanks for your continued patience with us as we get through your applications. The day was a major success and in total we had aprox 200 people through our doors. Some of you might have seen yourselves both in the Independent and also on TV3 news.

The delay in contact is simply due to dealing with the massive turnout. We have actually created a couple of positions given the standard of applicants that showed up. As of this evening we have appointed a new Marketing assistant who will be looking after bookings etc for our new Live room. We have also hired a qualified sound engineer for our Hitech and PA department.

We now move on to more general sales positions. Given a couple of other exciting developments in here it looks like more sales positions will become available over the coming months so if you are not called this time there may be future opportunities. Anyhow one way or the other we'll be in touch with everyone via e-mail within the coming week.

Thanks again for showing the interest. We were really gobsmacked by the positive reaction.

    Talk soon,

    John Paul

On a serious note, what is Music Maker? Is it a shop, recording studio etc...?

Music Maker is a music shop on Exchequer Street, they sell guitars, amps, drums, keyboards etc.
