Running Psychology?

    Hi guys

Does anyone have any tips on running psychology?
I've heard of tips/tricks like imagining a giant magnet on top of a hill (don't laugh) :)
My dad always told me to imagine I'm pulling on a rope when I'm going up a hill.

Or that if you find yourself saying 'I can't do this / I can't go any faster' to acknowledge that the reasons it's tough is because you're getting fitter.

Does anyone have anything that helps them through a race?
I find I drift off and then go to myself 'Oi snap out of it you're running a race!'

    cheers
    m
