Ireland West Airport is isn't too far. There is a small private grass strip near near Tibohine, Ballaghaderreen, Co. Roscommon. Check out www.flyinginireland.com, there should be a database of all airstrips on there.

There are more landing strips than are listed. Many are quite private and not listed anywhere. So for all anyone knows there may indeed be several near Boyle.
