Emergency Treatment?

Hi. I've moved out of home last week, I've never claimed anything before, for the first time ever I went to the dole office and applied for jobseekers benefit/allowance. They told me that's going to be 6-8weeks waiting, and to see the community welfare officer in the meanwhile. I rang the community welfare office and she said call in tomorrow, Tuesday or Thursday.

Now in the meanwhile over the weekend I've gotten really sick (feverish) and have a toothache so bad I'm worried. My cheek is swolen and I'm taking Nurofen Plus like sweets. I think the fever came about from the tooth but I'm not sure. I really need to see a dentist but only have €16 to my name. I really think it's an urgent issue does anyone know what I could do?

Explain this emergency to the Community Welfare Officer when you go today. They may well arrange for an emergency payment to you today. The HSE office where the officer is would also have lists of local dentists.
