I get about $8 of a discount but that doesn't meet the whole cost.

There should be a Connect To Facebook button on the link in the first post. Odds are it's because you're browsing on your mobile alright.

My guess is that people who order the freebie and the freebie alone are subsidised by people like me who make up a mousemat with their kids on it and think "Ooooh, hubby would love one too! And look, a handbag!" and then buy more in addition to the freebie.
