A few other things you could do would be upgrade the hammer spring and you could change the gas valve too but that might bring it over the limit

i was thinking of doing that with my 1911, it fires at .76

the socom m9 fires bang on the joule pretty much. i was more wondering if the recoil kit is actually noticeable.

Yea its noticable, i have a upgraded recoil spring on my glock, it makes the slide return faster so you could fire it faster

I would not recommend a 6.01mm bore barrel. The tightest I would recommend for our power limit is 6.03.

Also bare in mind that putting a tightbore barrel in a gun usually brings the power up a little. If that piston head has a better seal then the one its replacing it'll raise the power as well. Just things to keep in mind, sure if it puts in over you can just take it out (that's how I always look at it).

thats a good point, ill look at a 6.03, will cause less jamming too.

i usually carry a full tool kit with me wen airsofting so can always take out anything that brings me over.

i have both a tm m9 and a tm 1911 both upgraded with hammer and recoil springs and they made a huge difference to the slide movement.I dont know what the difference would be with full metal guns but you defiantly notice with the tm guns

the gbb is a socom gear full metal m9a1

Hi I want to ask you a question if I can I'm relatively new to airsoft and I want to ask a question. I have a GBB socom m9 that sometimes for no reason starts firing full auto, any idea why ?

hey richie, yeh mine does that too, but not very often. iv seen it happen only on full metal M9's to be honest. my m8 has the kjw full metal and last time she used it, it went beserk and emptied the entire clip.
if i find out more though ill let you know. but iv never had the same problem on my previous m9, bt it had the plastic slide

finally got the springs, dont think I'd recommend a 150% for the socom m9 as im pretty shure the spring that it comes with as stock is actually stronger than the kings arm spring. the WE1911 i can feel slight difference but i shall see tonight.
