Loss

This came up during the week and seems to have stuck with me. LOSS, whether to loss someone close through death or moving away. From breakdown of a relationship to an argument. Loss of something we take for granted such as one of our basic senses like eyesight, or a limb, or €10 or car keys or sleep or anything you want(or don't want it to be) can be quite traumatic.
If someone close to me dies, and I feel sad for the person who died and for their family, is it wrong for me also to feel sad for me??? By this I mean, I will no longer meet up with them for a coffee, I will no longer laugh at their jokes or share my stories and dreams with them. I won't now look forward to them calling me on a Thursday evening just because they wanted to. I won't have them call me on a Friday night to tell me who was evicted on Big Brother.

So loss, and the grieving process which is different for everyone yet the same, is taking hold, but is it selfish for me to feel sorry for me, given that I'm experiencing loss due to a death???

What are people's overall opinions on loss??????

This appears to be more of a general discussion rather than a personal issue. That's outside the remit of this forum, however you may like to start a discussion on the subject in the Bereavement forum.
