Hate to see a genuine question fall off page 1 without a reply. I guess your physio would say, if asked, that three times a week is plenty. Probably even overdoing it perhaps unless you've got a real issue there.

Core strength work is always worth doing I reckon (not that I ever do much) as part of your general fitness regime.

My advice would be that 2-3 times a week for core would be plenty. The stretching will be important until you strengthen the glute then you can start to reduce that but shouldnt be ignored (i think this is a problem among runners (well me anyway) in the fact i see stretching as a cure rather than prevention which is not a good way to get truest me;))

I never really used to do it which was a big mistake, but after I had an op on my back I was doing it 5-6 times a week in full swing. But really that was only because I had to do extra work to strengthen the area after the op. Now I try to do stretching as often as I can, if I can do it every day I will. And I try to get the core work done about 3 times a week although I've fallen short of that lately. But its good to work it into your routine. I'd say anything around 3 days a week would be fine.

thanks RoyMcC , will try to stick to three for core and 3+ for stetching

Give your physio a call and ask.
