I'm starving here but i'm going to bed now after working the nightshift. What could I eat that will fill me enough to sleep but wont make me gain weight as I'm trying to lose a stone or so while building muscle.

The cottage cheese usually does the trick for me

It's also very cheap - 200g tub -59 cents in Lidl or 300g tub for 89 cents in Aldi

I work 12 hr night shifts whats the best way to divde out what you eat. Like should i have a big meal before work and the eat small snacks at night. Then breakfast before i got to bed.?

The best way for me, was to treat night shifts just like they were days.
Eat 3 solid meals, at the same regular intervals.
Weather I was hungary or not. It helped me adjust to the shift quicker.
I don't think it is a great idea to snack. Your willpower won't be at its best, and you might find yourself nibbling to keep awake.

Cottage cheese is probably the best thing to eat, if you hungry before bed.

Aldi do a savage "Belight" low fat cottage cheese with pinapple chunks, hits the spot.

I find that usually it's better to try and stick to a regular diet but just 12 hours ahead.

What is the fascination with cottage cheese? Why is it different to regular cheese? One time I ate cheese before bed I dreamed I was the last person on earth and couldn't die!!

    lol!

cottage cheese is a super, low fat source of protein.. and non animal protein as well.. lots of people focus too much on animal sources of protein, like chicken and eggs, forgetting about things like hemp seeds, cottage cheese, chickpeas, tofu.. which are all high sources of protein as well. cottage cheese before bed releases protein for about 6 hours or so.. and shouldnt cause nitemares like regular cheese!

I'm curious what you think cottage cheese is made from - it is animal protein, from cow's milk. The others you mentioned are plant sources but cottage cheese is most definitely animal protein

I LOVE those crazy cheese dreams! I only get them from mature mouldy cheese like stilton and Dunnes do a lovely thing called cambozola which gives you f*cked up dreams too. It made me sleepwalk once.

Cottage cheese doesn't do that unfortunately, but it is a great supper!
