Thanks for reading my wife got new brake pads in her 06 yaris Thursday, now there is a knocking noise coming from the drivers side front wheel.I can also feel a thudding on my foot from the accelerator while driving.Any one have any idea what the problem could be?

Is it the brake's or another problem.

I have no clue about cars so any advice appreciated

Loose wheel, loose brake caliper, pads incorrectly installed - who knows? Without a physical inspection, it's only guesswork but as it's the brakes / wheel area do the responsible thing - STOP DRIVING THE CAR!! and have it inspected in situ by someone who has a clue immediately.

Pads have been badly installed or the caliper is loose. Either way it's liable to to more damage if you drive it.

Thats a loose wheel, has to be, take out your spare wheel brace and put it on your wheel nuts and see are they loose, bet they are. Stop driving the car!!!

Yeah checked the nuts looks like all 8 were just put on by hand not tightened:rolleyes:

Thought it was a loose wheel as well. The amount of people who end up with loose wheels after getting brakes done is frightening. Worst I've seen was a guy getting new Team Dynamics wheels fitted at the same time, and to get the wheels to line up, he needed new spigot rings. Tech pushed them in, but thought that's all they needed and didn't know they had to be tapped in another half inch. Could have been very messy as the bolts worked their way loose.

Thought as much, I'd be looking for a refund from the garage, tell them you lost all confidence in the job and you had to bring it to a mechanic to have it all checked properly because both wheels were loose, PM me the name of the garage my nose is hanging off me  lol

Your mechanic is a fecking idiot not checking something basic like that... I'd be looking for some sort of compensation for his stupidity.

I'd be looking for a Mechanic!!!!.A "real" mechanic would not have left the wheels loose
