Blustery conditions and several hecklers giving 'encouragment' whilst watching (to recreate match conditions of course) at Dungannon today.

Didn't put the bugger off though...

Very nice. Hope to start making these training sessions once I get the new NI paperwork sorted (Got to get the Europass updated first) and get up and running with the new rifle. Fantastic shooting Gary. Munich beckons.

Nope, everything's in one box now, ready to go, should be up and shooting again next weekend at the latest by the sound of things. :)

Aye, can't wait. Ye're all taking my medals and prizes! Current plan is train like a bollocks, get up around the 585+ mark by the end of the year, send the rifle off for batching, and try tackle a world cup in Munich next summer. Just got to get the results now.

Mine's not a poxy airgun, so I reckon we'll not be hearing about that. :p If I've got it for thursday, I reckon I'll spend the evening in the DURC range getting sorted. Going to speak to Eric Uptagrafft in Munich about his extension tubes as well, as I reckon I'll probably invest in one later in the year.

I might wander down to see it on thursday so, it'll be my last DURC evening as a free man :D

Hopefully I'll have it then anyway. And of course. I'm afraid I'm working saturday (can't take any more time off or herself will not be impressed, been back and forth to Germany like a yoyo, and hoping to take another week off in september) so won't make the night out. Have a good one though. Still looking to get a chunk of walnut for a nice grip. Can't believe Anschutz are using such nasty much for the pistol grips. Whatever about the sterile plastic cheekpiece (also going out as soon as I get around to sorting an alternative setup) the grip is just foul. I just couldn't ignore the quality of engineering in the stock itself. Cheers again to intershoot for changing the order at such short notice on my part!

Well the cheekpiece at least is sorted - I found some knife handle blanks on ebay last week and ordered them for us. Did you want african blackwood or wild olive? Sorry you won't make it to the stag, but then I'm not really looking forward to getting shot :D

Apparently the paintballing aspect is likely out, so it's just going to be you getting plastered and half-shaved. Hadn't realised you'd ordered stuff already. I'll take the blackwood if you're happy enough. Just have to order blanks for the dummy pistol grip and then the real thing, and find someone with a CNC machine to not make a bollocks of the real one.

Blackwood it is, I'll email when the postman drops it off - actually, that should be in time to bring it along on thursday. Might go for a pint with folk that night too, just to be different :D
Make sure to take photos of the cheekpiece and pistol grip work, btw, I'm sure folks would find it interesting!

Will do. I'm lazy, so might be a while until I get around to it, but I'll throw it up when it's done. In fact, I shall start a work in progress thread!

You'd better get one with it, I just finished phase one of my cheekpiece build last night :D

Looks great. To tell the truth, I'm kinda focused on just ploughing ahead, rather than fiddling, and it's working out okay. I'm still going to change the grip and cheekpiece (it's not too bad, but it's slippery when you sweat) at some point, but I'll give the factory stuff a while anyway.

Probably the most productive route for now IWM. I've already put phase two of my cheekpiece build on hold in favour of just getting lead down the range right now.

Well, that and getting the gym sorted out here. Form-fitting canvas suits are *very* unforgiving :D
