    Get some sweetcorn and suck out the insides, you'll have the outer skin in your hands & that's your main culprit.

    It's made of cellulose which doesn't digest well in the human stomach (cows have 4 to digest cellulose!).

    So, while you do digest most of the inner corn, the outer skin stays relatively intact &
    when your body is producing faeces the skin-layering acts as a "hydrophilic bulking agent"
    (That's wikipedia-latin for the cellulose skin absorbing water & faeces!).

    So, that's not corn you see in your ∫hit, it's the skin off the corn puffed up after absorbing water & ∫hit ;)

    Isn't science awesome :D
