    Hi
Friend asked me this yesterday and i didnt have answer for them

They have a Dell Dimension 9200 running Windows Vista
They have a Dekk Photo966 combined Printer, Fax, Photocopier and Scanner

The tell me that sometimes when the submit a print job to the printer be it one copy or doc, Xls, pub file, pdf etc or multiple copies either
    • The document doesnt print at all and no warning messages apppear
    or
    • Only a number of the copies print - not all of them
No messages appear on the printer console nor dont believe they get error messages in Windows Vista either regarding problem with printing

You have to shut down the computer and restart it. Am not sure if they said that you have to power off the printer too

Once you power up the computer again the file will then either print or the copies not printed will print out (and this happens before you log back into Windows)

Friend reports that this doesnt happen all the time but is beginning to occur more often

Thoughts as to what could be the probklem here - could it be the printer Ram that is problem

    Thanks

Few things that I would try ..

    1. Be sure that the printer is set as the default printer under Control Panel | Printers .. also delete any unused printers as they only cause confusion. (If, on occasion, you print to the printer and nothing at all happens, this can indicate that you have printed to the wrong printer or one that is no longer attached to the computer.

    2. Uninstall all the printer software and reinstall.

    3. Try the printer on another computer/laptop and see if it also has problems...
