I'm not really up to speed on the vehicle specialists but in a previous life I've used these guys for surface freight to all corners of the globe and they were faultless.

Better to get a ferry from the UK to Spain and drive from there.

Was watching a doccu recently on the massive car smuggling racket to Greece.

The authorities don't know the crims from the legit ~ hence a massive clamp-down.

The Greek government and its policing agencies are in a very bad mood as it has also, once again highlighted corruption and bribes as the way to do business ~ hence the super size of their problems.

Hi Fishtits and thanks for your reply, the enquiry regarding "Shipping" to Greece is for a friend of mine who doesn't have Interweb access so I will pass on the details to him.
His sister lives in Greece so I'm sure she's well aware of the loop holes regarding importing a car.
Thanks again for all you comments, its a great web site! YEAH!

if your friend wants to ship a car to Greece from ireland as an import,my guess is about two grand in a container or as part of a groupage load in an artic.
But to drive the car there from here after the summer ferry rates fall would be cost about 500/600/700 euro for ferry, tolls, diesel/petrol and a few cheap hotels.
if you insure it and fly a volounteer home I d say you would find one. so reckon a grand.
