Joint Formulas - do they really work?

    Hi everyone,

I've been suffering from knee pain for the last 3 years and wonder if a joint formula would help alleviate the pain.

I also plan to take fish oils as I've heard they help too.

Does anyone have any experience in using joint formulas? What is the actual theory behind how they work?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Also, I read on the Les Mills site that weak glutes are linked to knee pain (that's why they emphasise lunges and squats so much). Any truth in this?

I could be caused by a lot of things.
Tight glutes, weak hamstrings, tight external rotators (side of the hips), inflexible ankles.

A trip to a physio might be in order.

I think that could be it! I'll get in touch with a physio over the weekend.

    Thanks for your reply.

P.S. Would foam-rolling help loosen out my external rotators?

To the best of my knowledge, It should help.

There is never a situatio for NOT foam rolling - that**** works wonders if you keep it up long term.
