    I got VS 2003 academia a few years back and stuck on an old laptop just to 'mess about with'..laptop has since died and I have discarded product licence key..
    Where can I get a new product key?

    I know VS 2003 is old hat and I know all about VS Express, I simply want to be able to run this again..

    Any ideas?

    You're probably out of luck, but you could give Microsoft a shout and ask them what the story is. This page has contact info;

    You could try talking to an authorised educational reseller: https://aer.microsoft.com/aer/searchaer.aspx about getting a new licence - however you may have to pay.

    AFAIK the licence for a current version of VS can be applied to previous versions as long as only one instance is installed under the licence. I don't know of this applies to product keys however.

    Thansk for that...

    Have decided to buy VS 2005 academic (only €100) I'm just going to use it for toying about with smart device development - VS Express 2010 doesn't support this ...

    Thanks for all assistance !
