Well im getting bored with my dvd collection and want some new ones so i reckon this place is best to ask.:)

Whats your favorite/top 5 aviation related film/s?
Can be anything really, from 'The Aviator' to 'Top Gun':P to 'snakes on a plane:o'.
Most of the films i have are very 'hollywood' and unrealistic from a enthusiasts point of view but hey anything that can fly interests me!


Hoping there is lots of unknown greats out there ive yet to see!

Excellent inflight footage and semi-decent story line. Worth a watch.

The Blue Max definitely deserves a mention. It's an oldie, and has the Irish connection. Plenty of Fokkers and Tiger Moths. Great aerial combat scenes.

I was fortunate enough to get the opportunity to see and climb all over a bunch of these at an airshow in EIAB many ,many, many years ago
The aircraft (all replicas afaik) were flown by members of the Air Corps and Weston featured heavily in the movie iirc.
