Hi there, I am thinking of buying some stuff from Amazon using my 3V card,I have never bought anything online before and was just wondering aboutt a few things:

    1) I am looking to buy dvd's and ps3,xbox360 and wii games only and i am all confused about this WEEE thing, will i be charged for anything regarding these things im looking to buy?

    2) If I pay in Euros but send my stuff to a Northern Irish address what VAT band would I get charged?

    3) Is the VAT already added on before you proceed to check out or not until you have put in your card details?

    4) Would it be better to go through www.shopireland.ie where it looks like VAT is already in the price?

Sorry hehe I know I must sound dumb! :D

    Thanks in advance!:p

Everything on Amazon.co.uk includes UK VAT and and WEEE charges. You don't have to worry about it, except if you choose an Irish Republic delivery address, then the little bit extra VAT is added on. It'll show the full and final price before you confirm payment.

Leave the price in £, as Amazon's euro conversion is pretty crap.

I'm in the same boat right now and I@m jsut wondering about the speed of postage to Ireland... the standard postage says 3-4 days and the free 4-5 days... is this speed pretty much accurate for amazon...

Sounds about right. Normally takes between 3-5 days, no matter what you choose.

You can't buy shoes or handbags. A lot of restrictions on what you can buy. When you do the conversion and add the deleivery charge on it works out the same as if you buy them here. But, if you go over £25 and choose the "Super Saver Deleivery" at the checkout there will be no deleivery charge. :) But the deleivery this way could be a month!:(
