Has anyone used the Disney iPhone app? It tells you the length of the queues of the attractions in real time. I really want it but a few people told me since it's an Irish iPhone (and prepay) the cost of using it would be phenomenal. Any idea?

Yeah, if it's real-time then it will most likely be getting the data over 3G unless Disney have a wireless network covering the entire park. Which I doubt because it's *huge*.

So the cost would indeed be enormous.

What is "enormous"? I don't have any idea what type of charges I get as my phone is new. Any idea where I can find out?

The roaming law was changed last week and operators can now only charge you a max of €50 per month for data whilst abroad.

If you want this limit removed, you have to tell them.

The app seems like a good idea, but dont most of the rides tell you queing times on signs?

Yeah, they do, but this way you can see them all at the same time.

Depends on your operator. O2, for example, charge €9.91 per MB (0.96c per KB) for the first 3MB, and then your next 47MB are free. However, that's a daily rate, not an ongoing one. So if you download 1MB per day for a week, it'll cost you €70. Unless you're doing heavy browsing, I imagine that you will used somewhere between 1 - 2MB per day if you turn data roaming on.

It could work out very expensive for the sake of avoiding a few queues :)

This only applies for roaming while inside the EU. Outside of the EU, you can be reamed as normal.
