Jobseeker's Allowance documents/interview?

    Hi There,

No-one is answering the phone at my local office so thought I'd try here.

I'm unemployed and on the Back to Education allowance. I got a letter fom Social Welfare today saying that my Jobseeker's Benefit is finished in two weeks and if I wish to apply for Jobseeker's Allowance to fill out the enclosed 'Jobseeker's Allowance Means Test' form. To continue Back to Education for the next college year I need to be on Jobseekers Allowance.

I want to avoid any unneccesary delays so does anybody know what the next step will be once I send off the form? Will they call me in for an interview or will the form be enough for them to decide? Will I need documents such as P45's, bank statements etc as it doesn't mention any of these on the forms?

    Thanks in advance

no you just need your passport, utility bill , confirmation of resience, details of savings, details of your spouse's income, if applicable, details of self employment. if you are under 25 and resident at home, you will be required to provide details of parents income
