Big sale in Currys, Blanchardstown starting today

    Hey folks,

    There's a huge sale starting in Currys, Blanchardstown today.

    As per the Currys forum
    Serious bargains to be had in our Currys Blanchardstown Superstore from today until Saturday 18th at 6pm!

    We're clearing it out to make way for our brand new store so we've reduced prices for 4 days - and everything must go!

    Up to 50% off cooking appliances, up to 40% off TVs and fridge freezers, up to 25% off laptops... biggrin.gif All games will be 50% off marked price as well.

    Blanchardstown are open until 8pm tonight, 10-8pm Friday, 10-6pm Saturday, and Sunday 12-6pm. Pop in and have a look.

    Passed by before 9 this morning and there was already a queue.

    Pretty poor sale. Poor spec Laptops missing chargers and batteries are selling for 600.

    PC world had a similar blitz in Airside a while back - got the monitor I'm staring at - a HP 2009v 20" - for 65 with no box or cables...which I already had. There does be a few gems but you;ve gotta be lucky.

    According to the sign at the time they're combining al their Currys/PC Worlds to make a superstore etc etc.

    Wouldn't bother unless you REALLY want an ex-display model at 10-25% off. 10% off blu-ray players - come on, you can do better than that! No major bargains except maybe irons at 30% off marked prices.

    Went down yesterday evening at 6:15 and was out of the store at 6:19. That bad.

    Yep, near everything I saw could be gotten cheaper elsewhere... I did have a laugh at the manager selling tv's to people.. That man knows how to BS folk.. and they where lapping it up... I saw a load of people getting sat navs, figured they must have been at decent prices.. There was a tomtom one marked at €500!!! All the other sat navs I saw where more expensive than halfords... Sale me bananas

    They're offloading their rubbish more like...

    A TV without a remote is alright but selling a laptop for €600ish euro without a charger nor battery is just taking it too far.

    did anyone got to the 'sale' on monday, tuesday or today?

    I had been told on sunday that they'd be open till thursday, but today they closed at 2 'coz everything sold'.

    They still have a load of tvs there wrapped up, either for the new store of sold.

    I'm annoyed at this scam sale, and am wondering if the reductions were taken by the staff?

    Anyone got any info on this? I find it hard to believe that the stock that did not sell thurs-sun, suddenly sold at the same reduced price (i was told this by the manager).

    ahh never heard that .... it was meant to be sunday .. then thursday ... and they were closed at two today ...
