I watched about a minute of this show last night and switched over after I found it unwatchable.

Firstly the red background they are using looks like it came from the 70's!

The picture is way too soft on sky it looks truely awful.

Secondly - Why is this show live? I counted 30+ "eh's" in the first minute of the show, along with the host cutting across the guests explaining GDP and GNP!

A little bit of rehersal and a teleprompter wouldn't go a miss - very little of "live" tv in the states actually goes out live!

Take the today show for instance, the voice over for the VT showing the headlines is recorded 10mins before going on air!

Interviews are done an hour before the show airs to give editing time to polish them up.

After eh a minute eh and a half of eh, eh, I tuned out!

The set is produce using chroma key technology as are most sets on TV3. I think their is an over use of chroma key. They would be better off with an actual set. The chroma key sometimes makes Vincent and some of his curly/frizzy haired guests look like they have a Blue Rinse. The cameras need to be re-arranged, there is no need for it to show TONIGHT above the guests, rather a long shot from behind vincent is required should they want to make the set look like bigger than it actually is.

As for its Live broadcast. well em I guess em it em would em be a very very skilled editor who could remove such ems without it looking or sounding bad.

Also VB Tonight is purely Radio on TV.

I would have put it as 'Also VB Tonight is poor Radio on TV.

He bullies, interupts, talks twaddle, and is very opioniated. His guests also are encouraged to pander to his views.

The only thing they have not worked out yet, is how to get product placement onto it, but I am sure they are working on it as we speak.

Well they worked out how to get a sponsorship deal on a Current Affair/News show so it should be to long before we see bottles of Deep Riverrock on the desk.

I always think of Vincent Brown as a non polished version of Jeremy Paxman, "tough interviewer", but in a dog ruff kind of way! (a Paxman who never went to finishing school) :) and the show does have a slight 70's look about it alright.
